EUGLOH Staff Week Recognised in European Commission Blended Mobility Guide

EUGLOH Staff Weeks were among several other best practice examples to be highlighted in the recently-published European Commission’s Blended Mobility Guide. The inclusion of these examples is meant to inspire the creation of other such projects in the future.

EUGLOH staff weeks combine a webinar, virtual workshops and in-presence activities, such as team-building exercises and work shadowing. One of the goals of the activity is to strengthen international cooperation by encouraging the exchange of best practices and experiences. “I learnt so much during the Staff Week in Porto. It was also a great opportunity to network with colleagues from other universities”, recalled Kerstin Schweizer-Laurentin from Universität Hamburg.

“Many people make the staff weeks happen and we are very happy to be mentioned in the Blended Mobility Guide as an inspiration for others”, said Kristina Miolin, EUGLOH Institutional Manager at Lund University.

Blended mobility is intended to enrich and diversify the experience of students and staff by studying, training or teaching abroad. The purpose of the Blended Mobility Guide is “to provide […] guidance and inspiration on how to organise and implement high quality blended mobility opportunities, both for outgoing and incoming Erasmus+ participants”.

EUGLOH hopes to continue to be a source of innovative ideas when it comes to the usage of the Blended Intensive Programmes model, which represents an excellent opportunity to build dynamic trans-national programs to the benefit of the entire Alliance.
