Sylvie Retailleau, appointed Minister of Higher Education and Research

On the proposal of the Prime Minister, the President of the Republic has appointed Sylvie Retailleau Minister of Higher Education and Research.

Sylvie Retailleau, President of the University of Paris-Saclay, University Professor and Professor of Physics,

Appointed Minister of Higher Education and Research on 20th May 2022.

Since 2001, she has held a professorship at Paris-Sud University, now Universite Paris-Saclay . She was responsible for the IST Master (Information, Systems, Technology) until 2008, as well as responsible for the research operation "Integrated Quantum Components for NanoElectronics" at the Institute of Fundamental Electronics (now C2N) since its creation in January 2002 until 2011. She was vice-president of the physics department of the Faculty of Sciences of Orsay from 2007 to 2008, then vice-dean in charge of training from 2008 to 2011, she was Dean of the Faculty from September 2011 to May 2016 and President of Paris-Sud University from May 2016 to December 2018. She was elected President of Université Paris-Saclay on 2nd March 2020.
